Fibromyalgia syndrome and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) have some similarities, but are distinct clinical entities that are common in the community. They can vary in severity from mild illness to severe disabling disease. But these conditions are poorly recognized by the clinicians and rarely diagnosed.
